Hello, I’m William.

I’m an Integrations Engineer working in network operations. My work involves building applications, integrating systems, and working with the technology that supports a large network.

Background

I studied computer science at Tennessee Tech and began my career working in IT and networking. That experience gave me a strong interest in understanding how systems work as a whole, from the infrastructure underneath them to the software people interact with.

Today, I work primarily with Python, APIs, databases, Linux, and network systems. I enjoy building things that connect different pieces of technology and make useful information easier to work with.

Interests

Outside of work, I have a pretty wide range of interests. I enjoy hiking, exploring new places, photography, movies, music, and travel. I’m also interested in technology, electronics, 3D printing, space, aviation, and a number of other things.

Some of those interests end up turning into projects, while others are just things I enjoy. This site is a place for me to write about things I’m interested in, share projects I’m working on, and keep a record of some of the things I’ve learned along the way.
